Appointments can be made by dialling 0844 576 9010 (7 lines) and selecting option 2 (if you don't have a tone-dial phone just wait, your call will be answered); or dial 01279 437 658 (1 line). The appointments desk is open from 8:00am although we prefer non-urgent calls from 8:30am; it stays open until 6:30pm. The appointments desk is constantly manned by at least one receptionist. Obviously, at certain times of the day, especially first thing in the morning, the lines are extremely busy. The telephone calls are automatically stacked up and answered in rotation. Please be patient when ringing in to the surgery, especially if your call is not answered immediately. If the telephone has the ringing tone, you can be sure that you are connected and will be answered in turn.

Depending on whether you wish to see a doctor, the nurse practitioner, the practice nurse or another member of the primary health team, your call, when answered, will be at the appropriate extension where your appointment will be made. If your telephone call is not urgent, please try to call at a less busy period later in the day to relieve the pressure on the telephone receptionists. At this surgery we prefer patients to see their own doctor for continuity of care although this is not always possible.

Urgent appointments may have to see whichever doctor is working as "duty" on that day.
