Friends of Lister

Patients of the practice who arrange meetings of medical interest and organise social events to raise money to improve the fabric of the building.

New members are needed and welcomed.

We have four meetings a year; usually May for the AGM, July, October and January. The dates and times of forthcoming meetings are shown here.

The Friends Newsletter

The Friends produce a regular newsletter.

We are always looking for suitable material for the newsletter and for people with the facility for desktop publishing. Please contact us if you can help.

Friends Fund Raising

The friends raise money to provide better facilities and equipment to benefit patients when the money is not available through the NHS.

Our biggest project was the provision of Air Conditioning in the waiting room, which has been of substantial benefit to patients.

Other projects...

...include the provision of an illuminated display unit, linked to the surgery computer which speeds up the flow of patients waiting to see their doctor.

Friends of Lister House Medical Centre

An active support and participation group.
Established in 1993.
Promoting co-operation and understanding between, patients, doctors and services.
