Liz Ryan
Having qualified in 1995, Liz spent 5 years gaining experience working in a 50 bedded mixed surgical unit. In 2000, she moved to Princess
Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, working in the 5 bedded surgical/medical High Dependency Unit, as a sister.
Liz has undertaken the ENB 998 (Teaching and Assessing) and is a qualified NVQ Assessor (D32/33). She has successfully mentored two of the
HCA’s through their NVQ Level 3. Liz is currently in the second year of the BSc (Hons) Nurse Practitioner (Primary Health Care) degree at
London South Bank University.
Liz’s main role is in the provision of ‘urgent’ appointments for patients suffering from minor illness. She also undertakes general
practice nurse clinics, such as smears, ear syringing, immunisations, injections, family planning, etc.

Alison Gamblin
Alison has been in nursing for 35 years. She first gained experience in general practice working for 11 years in Braintree. She moved to the
Lister Medical Centre in 2004.
Alison carries out a full range of general treatment room duties and has past experienc eof treating minor ailments. A lot of her time is
devoted to runn9ing clinics in long-term disease management such as CHD; heart failure; asthma; COPD and diabetes. She is involved in training
new nurses in these areas.
Having recently completed her course, she is now a non-medical prescriber.

Louise Whiteley
Louise has been nursing for 29 years with mainly hospital-based surgical experience. She was working as a Senior Staff Nurse on a
surgical ward at PAH for 16 years before joining the Practice in June 2006.
Louise's other qualifications include ENB 998 (teaching) and ENB D32/33 (assessors), and in February 2007 she completed a cervical
cytology course.
