Diabetic Clinics

Diabetes is an extremely common disease affecting some 2.5% of the population. Uncontrolled diabetes can cause heart, kidney, eye and arterial disease so tight management of the problem is essential. We have a Diabetic Nurse Specialist who will assist, under the supervision of the doctors, with the management of patients who have type 1 or type II diabetes. Patients with diabetes will also be seen by chiropodists, dieticians and opticians (for free annual eye checks).

Cervical Smears

The practice has a recall system to enable us to inform our female patients when their cervical smear is due. Routine smears are generally performed every three or five years. Practice nurses undertake cervical smear taking at the practice.

Carer Information

It is helpful to know if you have a Carer (someone who takes on an unpaid caring role) or if you are a Carer for someone else. We have a page dedicated to Carers where you can also register with us as a carer so we can provide you with additional support.

Asthma Clinics

If you suffer with asthma please speak with your GP who will give you advice and guidance relating to any necessary interventions.
