Getting Your Test Results
You can call the surgery for your test results after 11am, Monday to Friday.
Important Things to Know
- Staff can only tell you what the doctor says they can.
If they can’t give you the result, it doesn’t mean something is wrong — the doctor may just want to talk to you about it. - Results can be given to someone else only if the doctor agrees first.
- If your test was done at a hospital, the results might not come to us.
Private and Confidential
- If you’re 16 or older, we can only give your results to you, not to anyone else.
We Can Only Help With Our Own Tests
If your test was ordered by another clinic or hospital, we can’t explain the results.
Please contact the clinic or hospital that did the test.

How Long Do Results Take?

Bringing Samples
- Bring your sample to the surgery before 12 noon on weekdays.
- Make sure your name and date of birth are on the bottle.
- You can get a sample bottle from reception.
