Appointments

Appointment booking

If you need to contact the surgery for an appointment or any other matter, you should do so online.

The practice offers a mixture of face to face and telephone appointments. Urgent appointments, or on the day appointments will be face to face.

Routine appointments will initially be a telephone consultation, the Clinician will then let you know whether they need to see you face to face for an examination or further consultation.

It is important that we have your up to date telephone contact details so that we can reach you. Please make sure that you have let our reception team know of any change of details.

How can we help you?

Your pharmacist can help with various conditions such as minor ailments, sprains, aches, colds, headaches, rashes, cystitis. Pharmacist help, including a local pharmacy search tool.

Check your symptoms, visit NHS 111 online.

Call 111 at any time, 24 hours a day. You will speak to NHS professional staff who will help guide you on any medical issue.

Calls are free from landlines and mobiles.

Home visits are requested by ringing the switchboard and requesting a visit via the reception staff.

It is much appreciated, where possible, for visits needed after morning surgery when most home visits are undertaken, if the request can be telephoned in to the surgery by 11am. This has the advantage of allowing you (as far as possible) to see your own doctor. Obviously, if an emergency occurs at a different time of the day, a visit request can be made but that will be undertaken by the day duty doctor.

Routine postnatal visits are made without formal request but the surgery will contact you to inform you that the doctor is attending.

However, although patients may request a home visit, there is no automatic right to receive one. If the doctor feels that the individual would be best be examined in surgery, the patient will be invited to attend the Health Centre. We normally expect parents to bring their children to be examined in surgery; a temperature, for example, should not preclude a child from being brought in.
